What a wild ride this year has been! We are still on the hunt for an acceptable facility, but have been bolstered by the kindness and generosity of the surrounding community and members, and feel certain there is one in our near future. On Sunday, September 25, 2022 the first annual meeting of Meatsmith Co-op happened at Blanchardville's McKellar Park along the Pecatonica River. The potluck gathering was a great opportunity to meet with members and potential members to learn more about the needs of the community and how Meatsmith is working to fulfill them. After many years and much research, it is evident that access to timely and affordable meat harvest and processing is a real need in our community. Please consider helping us reach our goal of $20,000 to make this happen. This money will go toward renovation, equipment and start-up costs to pay employees.
