Our Team
Meet the Board
April Prusia, President: Environmental scientist and heritage breed hog farmer in Green County, dedicated to connecting consumers to farmers, and farmers to the land and water they steward.
Heidi Hoff, Vice President: Veterinary scientist and translator, turned small-scale farmer in Dane County and newly trained butcher with a head for numbers and a drive to make things work.
Sarah Boyd, Secretary: Trained chef and former owner of Vert Café in Verona, with years of experience on Epic’s innovative culinary team, now training as a butcher and eager to find new ways to feed the people of her community.
Jill Gaskell, Treasurer: Jill is a retired chemist and union steward. She lives on a small farm near Blanchardville with her husband where they have a large garden and raise bees, chickens, and sometimes a couple of hogs.
Amos Mayberry, Director: As a farmer, Amos specializes in managing a small cattle herd, chicken flock, and a few hogs on hilly pasturelands. Working along with microscopic livestock, Amos moves all the critters across the farm to cycle carbon in the soil. A cycle that provides nutrient dense food to the community.
Morgan Sisson, Director: A farm and business manager for Larryville Gardens in Burlington, WI that focuses on sustainability and increased food access. A graduate of Madison College's Artisanal Modern Meat Butchery program.
Jordan Hemaidan, Director : A retired Army helicopter pilot, Jordan is an attorney with decades of experience in agricultural, land use, environmental and energy law. Jordan’s work with Meatsmith is another dimension of his long-standing commitment to support locally-focused systems and organizations that value a sustainable future.
